Role overview
Mitre 10 MEGA Invercargill is looking for dependable, motivated people to join its merchandising team for a short fixed-term store project. The assignment focuses on supporting an in-store merchandising relay to move, reset, and rework selected products according to the planned store layout.
Assignment period and hours
This contract runs from Monday 27 July 2026 through Friday 7 August 2026. Work is scheduled Monday to Friday, with two possible day-shift options: 6:30am to 3:00pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm. Applicants are asked to state their shift availability or preferred shift in their cover letter.
What the role involves
- Placing merchandise in accordance with store standards, project plans, and layout requirements
- Working with the wider team to achieve daily targets
- Helping move stock and positioning selected products in the correct areas
- Keeping the workspace clean, organised, and safe
What you should bring
- Experience in merchandising or retail is an advantage
- A careful eye for detail
- The ability to take and follow instructions accurately
- Good physical fitness and comfort with manual handling tasks
