Desired Candidate Profile
The role calls for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Multimedia, Film Production, or a closely related discipline, plus 2 to 5 years of experience in video editing. Preference will be given to applicants who have worked in television media, news channels, broadcast media, digital news platforms, or production houses. Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing tools is expected, along with a clear understanding of video formats, transitions, sound design, color grading, and motion graphics. The ideal candidate should also be comfortable working under pressure, meeting short deadlines, and using creative storytelling to communicate ideas effectively.
Preferred Experience
Additional value will be given to candidates with experience in television news production, media organizations, educational institutions, or digital content platforms. Familiarity with camera workflows, broadcast requirements, and optimization of social media content is also useful. Prior work on reels, shorts, promotional videos, and campaign-based edits will be an advantage.
