Role Overview

The Transporter supports patient care by following all hospital and department procedures. The role involves moving patients safely and promptly while handling basic transport-related equipment and supplies correctly, including catheters, tubes, monitors, oxygen, and other devices.

Key Duties

• Carry out transport tasks in line with hospital and departmental policies.
• Move patients safely and on time.
• Use proper handling methods for catheters, tubes, equipment, monitors, and oxygen.
• Greet patients and introduce yourself before transport.
• Provide clear and appropriate information to patients and staff about the transport process.
• Maintain daily transport records and logs.
• Keep transport equipment clean and ready for use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
• No prior experience is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of date of hire or transfer.
