About the opportunity
This position is based at Tarrawonga Mine and offers several openings for a technician to join a collaborative maintenance team. The role focuses on maintaining a fleet of mining equipment, including CAT and Hitachi machines, with all work carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with statutory and site requirements. The main focus will be planned servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair work on heavy mining equipment.
What you will be doing
- Carrying out both preventative and unscheduled maintenance on electric drive haul trucks, specifically Hitachi EH4000-2/3 units.
- Finding, troubleshooting, and fixing faults in high-voltage electrical systems.
- Operating effectively across both workshop-based and field-based maintenance settings.
What you need
- A strong commitment to working safely at all times.
- Well-developed troubleshooting, diagnostics, and fault-finding ability.
- A positive attitude toward learning and adapting to new tasks and situations.
- Hands-on experience with electric drive haul trucks in a mining environment.
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
- A current High Voltage Electrical Licence.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness and ability to complete an Order 45 medical assessment.
