About the role
ADB SAFEGATE’s Airfield Solutions team brings more than 75 years of expertise in advanced airfield ground lighting systems that help support safe and efficient aircraft landings, taxiing, and take-offs. This position is based at Red Sea International Airport, where the Technician will handle corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, electrical work, and related on-site support. The role also includes operating an airside vehicle and other equipment on location.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out assigned work orders from Maintenance Management and Engineers.
- Support airside operations and maintenance activities.
- Help replace faulty equipment either as an urgent corrective task or as part of scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Take part in general custodial maintenance duties.
- Perform workshop-based maintenance when on standby or during planned maintenance periods.
- Dismantle equipment, inspect components, replace parts, reassemble units, and verify proper operation.
- Work in rotating shifts, including morning, afternoon, and night schedules as assigned by Officers or Engineers.
- Attend training sessions to keep skills and technical knowledge up to date.
- Keep vehicles, tools, and equipment in working condition through cleaning, lubrication, fluid checks and top-ups, washing, and other basic upkeep tasks.
- Contribute actively to meeting SLA contract KPIs.
Required profile
- Good command of standard and specialized tools used in technical maintenance work.
- Strong English communication skills; knowledge of another language will be considered an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible, non-standard schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
