Technical Writer

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Document Writer to assist fixed plant operations by creating and keeping up to date strong maintenance and operational documentation. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to develop clear work instructions, Production Resource Tools (PRTs), and supporting documents for new capital projects, while also making sure existing material stays current, compliant, and aligned with applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create work instructions, maintenance procedures, and technical documents for newly commissioned fixed plant equipment.
• Build Production Resource Tools (PRTs) and other operational documents that help maintenance work run smoothly.
• Prepare documentation that satisfies business, operational, and regulatory expectations.
• Revise procedures when equipment is modified, components are replaced, systems are upgraded, or maintenance strategies change.

Skills and experience

• Proven background as a Technical Writer in mining, heavy industry, manufacturing, or fixed plant settings.
• Solid knowledge of plant equipment, maintenance methods, and day-to-day operating procedures.
• Hands-on experience creating technical documentation for capital projects or maintenance teams.
• Understanding of statutory, safety, and compliance obligations in industrial environments.
