Job Purpose
The Team Member - AOCC/JCC supports smooth airport functioning by monitoring operations in real time, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and helping maintain resource availability, congestion control, and overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Track terminal activity continuously to identify congestion, disruptions, or unusual situations and coordinate quick corrective action with terminal operations, security, and other teams.
- Help maintain efficient baggage movement by monitoring the process and addressing delays.
- Oversee VDGS and GOS activities so that parking stands are assigned before arrival and block-in/block-out timings remain on schedule.
- Coordinate with the Landing Parking Cell and non-scheduled operators to support departure clearances based on flight plans.
- Issue manual or system-based announcements in the terminal whenever airlines or terminal operations require them.
- Share flight updates through paging systems so passengers and visitors receive timely information during normal operations and disruptions.
- Keep FIDS information accurate and updated without delay.
- Work with Medical Services, ATC, ground handlers, and terminal operations to respond quickly to medical emergencies.
- Liaise with ATC on arrivals, parking allocation, runway changes, towing permissions, and other operational developments.
- Coordinate across airlines, non-scheduled operators, ground handlers, engineering, and security teams to keep shift operations running effectively.
- Follow SOPs and regulatory requirements, and assist in internal and external audit readiness.
- Record operational data and prepare shift reports, incident notes, and performance updates.
- Support employees in completing mandatory training related to aviation compliance, safety, ISO standards, and operational excellence.
- Take part in mock drills, operational simulations, and cross-functional training exercises to strengthen coordination across departments.
Stakeholders
Internal stakeholders: Duty Manager - AOCC/JCC, Airport Operations Team, Air Traffic Control, Airport Security, Emergency Medical Services, Engineering & Maintenance Team, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Team.
External stakeholders: Airlines, ground handlers, non-scheduled operators, government agencies including Customs, Immigration, CISF, ARC, Air Force, and Military, as well as medical agencies.
Qualifications and Experience
A post diploma or bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Operations Management, or a related field is required. Candidates should ideally have 1 to 2 years of experience in airport operations, ground handling, or airside services.
