Descrizione del lavoro
About the Role
This contract opportunity is for a remote specialist who can design and evaluate advanced scientific computing tasks in bioinformatics and single-cell genomics. The work focuses on creating graduate-level problems for AI evaluation, with an emphasis on domain depth, careful reasoning, and strong computational rigor.
The organization connects highly skilled creative and technical professionals with leading AI research labs. It is headquartered in San Francisco and is backed by Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.
What You’ll Do
- Create graduate-level computational exercises using specialized scientific libraries such as scanpy, scvelo, squidpy, and gudhi.
- Build evaluation tasks that test AI models on strategic reasoning and interpretation of incomplete data.
- Improve and tune problem difficulty through an iterative calibration process with advanced AI systems.
- Develop content around single-cell RNA sequencing analysis, trajectory inference, and spatial transcriptomics.
- Work autonomously and asynchronously, refining tasks based on feedback and review.
- Partner with AI research teams to strengthen problem design approaches and improve model performance.
Required Background
- Graduate-level STEM training, such as an MS, PhD, or comparable research experience.
- Hands-on experience with scientific tools including scanpy, scvelo, squidpy, and gudhi.
- Strong Python development ability.
- Comfort working in Linux or terminal-based environments and using remote compute sandboxes.
- Availability for roughly 15 to 20 hours each week.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to several tools or scientific domains.
- Experience creating benchmarks or evaluation frameworks.
- Background in teaching, scientific instruction, or exam/problem-set creation.
- Experience with reproducible workflows and container-based environments.
Application Steps
The application process is expected to take about 20 to 30 minutes and includes three steps: uploading a resume, completing an AI interview based on the resume, and submitting the final form.
