About the Company
Kenra Technologies is an LLP founded in 2012 and registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. It is also a women-owned MSME-recognized enterprise. The company focuses on dependable power-electronics solutions, including switch-mode power supplies for high- and low-voltage use, UPS systems, battery chargers, and rugged products built to meet military-grade requirements for land, airborne, and naval applications.
Role Overview
The organization is hiring a senior testing professional to plan, execute, and document validation and qualification work for power-electronic assemblies and systems. The role involves hands-on testing, analysis, and collaboration across design and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet demanding functional, environmental, reliability, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will create validation strategies, test workflows, and qualification documentation. They will run functional, performance, environmental, and reliability tests on power-electronic hardware. The work also includes characterizing SMPS, DC-DC converters, AC-DC supplies, battery chargers, and inverter systems.
Additional duties include checking efficiency, thermal performance, load regulation, line regulation, and transient response. The engineer will perform EMI/EMC pre-compliance and qualification activities, study switching waveforms, evaluate power dissipation, and analyze thermal behavior using advanced instrumentation.
The role further requires failure investigation, root-cause analysis, and suggestions for corrective measures. The candidate should also build automated test environments using tools such as LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, or comparable platforms, prepare detailed test reports, and support DVT, PVT, and qualification efforts. Close coordination with hardware, firmware, PCB design, and manufacturing teams is also expected.
Preferred Profile
The ideal applicant should hold a B.E. or B.Tech, with preference for M.E. or M.Tech holders in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Power Electronics. The role calls for 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in power-electronics testing, validation, or reliability engineering, preferably within defense electronics, aerospace power systems, industrial power supplies, EV systems, or other high-reliability domains.
Additional Information
Salary is listed as INR 3,00,000 to INR 8,00,000 per year.
