Site Lead

Overview

This opportunity is with a UK-based global pharmaceutical company that is looking for a Site Lead to oversee its manufacturing operations in Kenya. The position is suited to a senior leader who can drive site-wide performance and help shape the organisation’s wider global operations approach.

Role purpose

In this role, you will take ownership of site strategy and lead the business across people, safety, quality, delivery and cost. You will be expected to build and sustain a strong safety and quality culture while ensuring the site performs effectively across manufacturing, supply chain and engineering.

Key accountabilities

You will be responsible for leading a high-performing leadership team, managing site P&L, supporting regulatory preparedness, overseeing capital projects, and driving continuous improvement activity. The role also includes ensuring readiness for inspections and maintaining strong compliance standards across the facility.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a degree, preferably in Science, Engineering or Business, along with proven leadership experience in a manufacturing site environment. You should bring a solid background in GMP and regulatory inspections, hands-on ownership of operational P&L, and a track record of leading change. Strong knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain and quality systems is essential, together with the ability to lead people effectively and support Operational Excellence initiatives.
