Role overview
As a Shift Lead in Duluth, Georgia, you will help deliver the customer experience Lidl is known for across 30 countries. This role goes beyond simple register or stocking duties; you will take part in a wide range of store activities, including replenishment, cleaning, bakery support, non-food merchandising, and other day-to-day store operations.
The ideal candidate is comfortable in a busy environment, welcomes constructive feedback, and is open to adapting to effective ways of working. Success in this position also depends on strong communication, a team-first mindset, and a genuine commitment to giving shoppers a smooth, high-quality, low-price experience.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the responsible person on shift when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is not present, keeping operations running smoothly.
- Unload and process incoming deliveries quickly and efficiently.
- Assist shoppers across the store, including at checkout and when locating products or answering questions.
- Maintain a tidy, organized store environment throughout the shift, covering the parking area, sales floor, break room, and stockroom/warehouse.
- Build working knowledge of bakery tasks, produce area duties, and weekly promotional setups.
- Coordinate clearly with managers and coworkers to complete tasks and support overall store teamwork.
Requirements
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- You should be able to lift, move, carry, or slide items weighing more than 50 pounds.
- You must be able to reach overhead to heights greater than 10 inches.
- Availability is required for early starts at 5:00 AM or late finishes at 11:00 PM, including weekends.
- You should bring a positive approach when priorities change.
- Clear, friendly communication with both customers and teammates is expected.
- You need the energy and commitment to perform well in a fast-moving setting.
Benefits and compensation
The starting wage is $18.50 per hour, and qualifying shifts may also receive a $3 per hour premium.
