Senior Solution Architect - Physical Security Systems

Thales is hiring a Senior Solution Architect focused on physical security systems in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Role focus

This position calls for a senior architect who can shape advanced security solutions that combine physical security, IoT, artificial intelligence, analytics, cloud services, and cyber-physical systems for large-scale infrastructure and smart city environments.

Solution and technology architecture

• Build and guide sophisticated security architectures that bring together physical security, IoT, AI/analytics, and cloud capabilities for critical infrastructure and smart city initiatives.
• Develop integrated end-to-end frameworks that connect VMS, ACS, PSIM/C2, analytics layers, and IT/OT networks.
• Assess and incorporate AI-based analytics, digital twin concepts, edge processing, and sensor fusion into operational and security processes.
• Make sure solutions align with relevant local and international standards such as HCIS 2017, NIST, ISO 27001, PDPL, and GDPR.

Strategic innovation and leadership

• Serve as a forward-looking technology leader who can identify and influence emerging directions in security and smart city domains.
• Create technology roadmaps that connect new capabilities with enterprise, public sector, and regulatory objectives.
• Work closely with internal research, external partners, and ecosystem vendors to enable cyber-physical convergence.

Project and stakeholder leadership

• Direct cross-functional teams from early concept through deployment across design, engineering, cybersecurity, and operations.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to clarify needs, present solution value, and keep technology choices aligned with business outcomes.
• Assist pre-sales and bid teams by preparing high-level architectures, compliance mapping, and value-driven proposals.

Experience and qualifications

• Bring 10 to 15 years of experience in security architecture, systems integration, or technology strategy.
• Have delivered multi-domain security solutions for smart cities, airports, utilities, or critical infrastructure.
• Possess strong exposure to physical security systems, AI and analytics platforms, IoT/edge computing, cloud platforms, and command-and-control or PSIM platforms.
• Understand network architecture, APIs, and data integration standards.
• Think strategically and communicate a clear vision for secure, connected infrastructure.
• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
