Role Summary

SBH Fashion is looking for an experienced logistics and transportation leader to manage and improve a worldwide supply chain network. The position focuses on moving footwear goods from manufacturing partners in Asia to distribution hubs and customers across the United States.

The role calls for someone with strong analytical ability, deep knowledge of ocean and domestic transportation, and a track record of turning data into practical improvements in service, cost, efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.

You will shape transportation strategy, oversee logistics partners, and use reporting and analytics to support scalable operations and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and carry out the global transportation and logistics plan for the full movement of products from Asian factories to U.S. distribution centers.
  • Manage ocean freight activity, including selecting carriers, negotiating contracts, and coordinating freight forwarding, while also supporting transportation technology efforts.
  • Work closely with sourcing, planning, inventory, and warehouse teams to keep transportation plans aligned with business needs and customer expectations.
  • Build and run a strong transportation analytics and reporting capability that provides clear visibility into freight spend, service levels, inventory movement, transit times, carrier performance, and network usage.
  • Encourage adoption of transportation management systems, business intelligence tools, and supply chain technology platforms to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Lead ongoing improvement initiatives aimed at freight savings, network performance, inventory flow, and customer service.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop transportation and logistics team members while promoting accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Inspect and confirm monthly ocean freight invoices, ensuring all handling, transport, accessorial, and other incidental charges are accurate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, analytics, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in global transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong experience managing ocean freight programs on Asia-to-U.S. trade routes, including procurement, carrier negotiation, and network optimization.
  • Solid understanding of domestic transportation, including drayage, intermodal, truckload, LTL, parcel, and distribution networks.
  • Proven analytical ability with hands-on experience creating transportation reports, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and executive performance metrics.
  • Advanced capability in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and business intelligence tools.
  • Good knowledge of transportation economics, freight markets, customs processes, and global supply chain best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing logistics and transportation teams.

Compensation

Salary: $150,000.
