Role Overview

Al Sulaiti Law Firm is looking for an accomplished bilingual Senior Associate to strengthen its Criminal Litigation practice in Doha. The position is designed for a lawyer who can confidently manage complex and high-pressure criminal matters while playing an active role in shaping defense strategy and courtroom advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

The selected lawyer will independently handle criminal files across all stages, from investigation through trial and appeal. This includes building case strategy, preparing written advocacy, and representing clients before courts and the public prosecution. The role also calls for witness examination and close coordination with clients on sensitive matters.

Required Profile

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in law along with valid legal qualifications and at least 7 years of post-qualification experience focused on criminal litigation. Strong fluency in both Arabic and English is essential, including written and spoken communication. The ideal candidate will have a solid record of handling criminal cases, preparing defense memoranda, pleadings, submissions, and legal opinions, and delivering oral advocacy in court.

Additional expectations include sharp analytical ability, excellent attention to detail, a practical and commercially aware mindset, and the confidence to work independently. A sound grasp of criminal law in Qatar and the broader MENA region is also required, together with strong communication and client-handling skills.
