Role Overview
G4S Secure Solutions Ireland is hiring a Security Officer for its Dungarvan, County Waterford site. This role offers the chance to work in a varied and fast-paced security environment, protecting clients’ property, assets, and people while delivering a professional and reassuring presence.
The position is based in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, with contracted hours of 36 per week. The roster covers Monday to Sunday, with shifts running from 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am, or as assigned on the duty roster.
Pay and Working Pattern
The base rate is €15.41 per hour, plus a site-specific allowance of €0.40 per hour. Additional compensation includes a Sunday premium of €3.44 per hour, an unsociable hours payment of €20.00 per shift worked, overtime paid at 1.5 times normal pay after 40 hours per week, and bank holiday pay at double time when worked.
What the Job Involves
- Conduct regular patrols to help safeguard the site, staff, and visitors.
- Keep watch over CCTV and access control systems and respond quickly to potential risks.
- Deal with alarms, incidents, and emergencies in a composed and professional manner.
- Deliver strong customer service while maintaining constant security awareness.
- Record incidents accurately and report suspicious activity promptly.
- Work alongside emergency services when required to bring situations to a safe resolution.
