Role Overview

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for building the top of the funnel for corporate accounting teams. The customer base includes top-25 CPA firms, high-end advisory practices, Fortune 1000 finance teams, and pre-IPO businesses. You will partner closely with the CEO and co-founder on target-account strategy, messaging, and outbound execution. High performance can lead to advancement into Account Executive roles and further growth.

What You Will Do

  • Create qualified pipeline through customized outbound outreach to controllers, CAOs, CFOs, VPs of financial reporting, and technical accounting directors at fast-growing private and public companies, as well as leading advisory firms.
  • Research each account, craft tailored emails that get opened and read, and secure meetings.
  • Execute multi-channel outreach using email, LinkedIn, and phone, then analyze results and refine what works.
  • Represent UpDraft at industry events such as FEI, Gartner CFO Symposium, AICPA ENGAGE, and Digital CPA by setting meetings onsite, following up quickly, and feeding opportunities back into the pipeline.
  • Screen inbound interest from the website, events, and investor introductions, quickly identifying strong opportunities and routing them into discovery.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline records in HubSpot, including stage updates, clean data, and clear documentation.
  • Join discovery and demo calls to deepen product knowledge and customer understanding, with a path toward handling early-stage conversations independently.

What Success Looks Like

  • Outbound activity consistently generates qualified meetings each week.
  • The HubSpot pipeline remains organized and accurate enough that leadership does not need repeated follow-ups on deals.
  • At least three outbound experiments have been completed with measurable results and clear learnings.
  • You are actively contributing to discovery calls and demonstrating strong product fluency.

Compensation and Location

This position offers a competitive base salary, a performance bonus tied to qualified meetings and pipeline generation, and meaningful equity in a fast-growing AI company. The role is based in the Chattanooga, TN or Atlanta, GA office.
