Role Overview

Allianz Australia is looking for a Return to Work Specialist to join its Personal Injury / Workers Compensation team in Melbourne, Victoria. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create a respectful and reassuring experience for injured workers by using trauma-aware communication.

  • Work closely with employers to improve their understanding of, and participation in, the return-to-work process.
  • Maintain effective relationships with case managers and share timely updates on claim status and return-to-work progress.
  • Drive better recovery and return-to-work outcomes by applying early and sustainable return-to-work strategies.
  • Support fair and timely access to income entitlements and return-to-work practices in line with WorkSafe Victoria worker survey expectations.
  • Manage claims according to WorkSafe Recovery and Return to Work Program requirements to support strong performance outcomes for employers.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a workers’ compensation setting.
  • A team-oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Comfort using MS Office, Novus, and Acction.
  • Good organisation, sound time management, strong work ethic, and careful attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult or sensitive conversations confidently.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed communication and the ability to balance empathy with professional boundaries.
  • Interest in using new technologies to improve outcomes in a digital environment and stay current in a changing landscape.
