About the Firm

An established international law firm with a respected real estate group is expanding its South Florida presence and is looking to add a skilled Real Estate Associate to the team.

Role Overview

This position is suited to a commercial real estate lawyer with 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience who is comfortable handling sophisticated transactions in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

The associate will be expected to run matters from the early stages through closing, steer due diligence work, and partner directly with clients on complex commercial property issues.

Preferred Transactional Experience

  • Commercial real estate purchases and sales
  • Negotiation and structuring of joint ventures
  • Commercial contract work
  • Real estate financing matters, whether representing borrowers or lenders

Key Duties

  • Oversee commercial property transactions from initial instruction through completion.
  • Coordinate and lead legal due diligence reviews.
  • Prepare, examine, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements and related documents.
  • Advise clients on acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and financing transactions.
  • Work closely with other lawyers in the real estate practice to deliver clear, high-quality advice.

Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Ability to manage deals with a high degree of independence.
  • Strong background in due diligence processes.
  • Well-developed drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills.
  • Highly organised approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong academic record, including a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practise in Florida, or able and willing to secure Florida admission before starting.
  • Must already be located in South Florida or prepared to relocate there before the role begins.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid role based in one of the employer's South Florida offices — Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or West Palm Beach. The role requires at least three days per week in the office.

What’s Offered

  • Chance to join a leading real estate practice with strong market standing.
  • Exposure to high-calibre transactional work and sophisticated clients.
  • Supportive team culture with meaningful career development potential.
  • Competitive compensation and a full benefits package.
