Quality Team Leader

Job purpose

This role is responsible for guiding day-to-day quality activities across the plant, making sure operations run efficiently while meeting quality standards, food safety expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements from incoming raw materials through finished products.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee quality-related work across production lines, laboratory functions, syrup room operations, and water treatment activities.
• Maintain adherence to quality procedures, food safety controls, and operational standards.
• Coach, train, and develop the quality team while tracking individual and team performance.
• Take part in internal and external audits and follow through on corrective actions.
• Track quality KPIs and produce performance reports.
• Assist with new product introductions, process improvements, and cost-reduction efforts.
• Help sustain product quality and operational excellence through ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is required; a background in Food Science or a closely related discipline is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in beverages, food manufacturing, or water treatment operations.
• Working knowledge of food safety and quality management systems such as FSSC 22000, AIBI, and QAS.
• Proven ability to lead teams and strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
