Role Overview
This position is for a Qlik Sense Developer based in Chennai, India. The role focuses on building, improving, and supporting dashboard solutions, data models, and reporting workflows in Qlik Sense.
Key Responsibilities
- Build new Qlik Sense dashboards end to end, beginning with requirement discussions, data gathering, and data modeling, and continuing through visualization, testing, production rollout, and automation.
- Pull data from multiple sources, transform it, and load it into Qlik Sense using ETL practices.
- Investigate problems in existing dashboards and data models, while also tracking and resolving data quality concerns.
- Prepare and maintain technical design documents for the solutions developed.
- Enhance current dashboards by delivering major new versions that include user-requested improvements and updates based on the latest Qlik Sense capabilities.
- Carry out preliminary QA by comparing revised dashboards with earlier versions to confirm expected behavior and results.
- Work according to organizational coding and design standards.
- Use Qlik Management Console for administration and management tasks.
- Implement access control using section access modeling.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- About 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in Qlik Sense development.
- Certification in Qlik Sense Business Analyst or Data Architect, or an equivalent learning credential.
- Practical expertise in Qlik Sense, SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
- Hands-on exposure to QMC and section access.
- Comfort with Agile ways of working and Excel 365.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with NPrinting, Visual Studio Code, and GitLab will be an advantage.
