About the Role
This position sits within a global project delivery environment focused on helping major clients deliver complex capital programmes successfully. The role is centred on planning, tracking, and controlling schedules so that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and aligned to business goals.

What You’ll Do
- Build, maintain, and update project schedules, including the creation of a formal baseline.
- Track the critical path and changes in float, then recommend corrective actions where needed.
- Help set budgets, monitor spend, and keep cost forecasts, cash profiles, work valuation, accruals, and cost coding accurate.
- Forecast resource needs and support resource smoothing and levelling alongside work package owners.
- Support change control activities and keep records of schedule or project changes.
- Review and challenge risk allowances and provisions.
- Keep revised project baselines current and well controlled.
- Ensure project outputs are properly captured, reported, and maintained with accuracy.
- Watch trends and forecasts with the Regional Lead and Project Controls Manager to identify threats, conflicts, and delivery risks.
- Prepare concise status reports covering issues, risks, upcoming milestones, and actions needed.
- Support the Project Manager and wider team in delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Assist project controls leadership in maintaining control across the delivery area programme.
- Encourage active participation from the wider project team.
- Handle complex information from delivery teams to support effective capital programme management.
- Help improve business performance by supporting new processes, systems, and ways of working.
- Work with and influence programme office colleagues, project managers, and others to promote best practice.
- Support planning for future projects and future phases of work.
- Create a range of reporting formats and outputs independently.
- Manage relevant tools and systems used for scheduling and project controls.

What You Need
- At least 5 years of scheduling experience.
- Hands-on proficiency with MS Project and Primavera P6.
- Working knowledge of Power BI is desirable.
- Experience with NEC contracts is preferred.
- Ability to use project, contract, and finance tools such as Primavera P6, Maximo, PCM, and Oracle.
- Strong analytical and IT capability, particularly in Excel and the MS Office suite.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
- Confidence working with contractors, consultants, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial understanding of governance, control, and performance analysis for large, complex portfolios.
- Experience working to regulatory deadlines and project timelines.
- Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
- Relevant university qualification in a project management, engineering, construction, or related discipline.
- Background in civil or offshore environments is required, with at least 5 years in that space.
- Capability to produce and improve scheduling guidance, handbooks, and procedures.
