About the Role
Keltech Engineering is hiring a Production Planner to join its planning team in County Waterford, Ireland. The position reports to the Master Planner, who oversees the organisation’s overall resource planning. In this role, you will support the Planning Department in making the best use of available resources so customer demand is met, and part of the work will be carried out on the production floor.

Primary Responsibilities
- Check that sales orders align with allocated customer capacity.
- Raise work orders that support production planning.
- Create work orders for non-chargeable hours.
- Plan individual production work centres and machines.
- Work closely with Production and Purchasing teams on planning activities.
- Coordinate with other key departments as needed.
- Maintain the master file when product changes affect planning, including process times and routing for work centres.
- Prepare reports for senior management meetings.
- Carry out data analysis.
- Produce daily KPI reporting, including internal and external OTD, efficiency, and related measures.
- Escalate internal and external issues that may affect customer requirements, resolve what can be handled internally, and communicate externally while keeping the customer relationship a top priority.
Additional Duties
- Process sales orders and enter them into the ERP system.
- Update customer portals.
- Answer customer service calls.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in an office-based position.
- Background in manufacturing or production planning preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in a business-related area is preferred, though a certificate is acceptable.
- Strong command of English is required.
- Experience using ERP or customer management systems.
- Good working knowledge of Excel.
Skills

Working Hours
The job is a 39-hour week. Working times are Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:30, and Friday from 08:00 to 15:30.
