About the Role
Grüns is hiring a Product Development Manager for the Ü Snacks team to oversee end-to-end product development across a wide range of launches, including line extensions, retail introductions, limited-time offers, and new innovation. You will guide initiatives from early concept through cross-functional development and final packaging sign-off, while coordinating vendors and suppliers, aligning internal teams, and ensuring every launch meets timing and quality expectations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-ownership environments, stays organized in ambiguity, and is comfortable operating with high standards.
This is part of a fully remote, high-trust work setup. The company also gathers in person twice a year for off-sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead packaging execution from start to finish, including concept development, manuscript preparation, artwork, proofs, sample rounds, feedback management, and final approvals in partnership with design and other stakeholders.
- Drive launch readiness across multiple concurrent initiatives, managing timelines, vendor coordination, R&D collaboration, gummy mold development, sample validation, and cross-functional alignment for limited-time offers, collaborations, and retail rollouts.
- Serve as the primary owner for assigned brands and SKUs, becoming the internal expert and working with partner teams to support ongoing growth and product health.
- Handle day-to-day relationships with external vendors and suppliers, making sure schedules, quality expectations, and project deliverables stay on track.
- Resolve issues quickly when projects derail, using sound judgment to keep launches moving forward.
- Partner with GTM and R&D teams after launch to identify improvements in formulation, packaging, and claims that can enhance retention and customer experience.
- Act as the central connector across Operations, Brand, Performance, and outside partners by keeping communication clear, surfacing blockers early, and driving decisions to closure.
Ideal Background
- 5+ years of product development experience at a D2C brand or growth-stage CPG company.
- Direct ownership of packaging from concept through approval and launch, with examples where you were the accountable lead when problems arose.
- Experience managing many launches at the same time rather than only a small number of projects.
- Exposure to beauty, personal care, food, or wellness CPG is a plus.
- Strong track record of managing suppliers and vendors through the full lifecycle of a project.
- Proven ability to coordinate across teams, influence stakeholders, and keep complex work moving without formal authority.
- Comfort using Asana or a similar project management platform.
Working Style
- You take full ownership of outcomes, not just tasks, and proactively spot and solve problems.
- You stay effective even when processes are incomplete or unclear.
- You move quickly while maintaining quality and avoiding rushed mistakes.
- You build dependable relationships with vendors and internal partners by following through consistently.
- You bring energy, curiosity, and momentum to the team.
