Processing Officer

About the Role

This role sits within NZ Post’s Auckland Processing Centre in Wiri, where parcels and freight are sorted, consolidated, and prepared for courier delivery. It is an on-call position and the work is scheduled as needed across Sunday to Thursday, from 6:00am to 2:30pm. The location is 1 Langley Road, Wiri, Auckland.

The wider purpose of the team is to support the movement of goods across New Zealand through reliable processing, teamwork, and efficient use of technology and data.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Sorting parcels and freight accurately and efficiently.
• Consolidating items for dispatch to couriers.
• Helping maintain smooth operations at the processing centre.
• Working collaboratively with a diverse team to support site productivity.

What We’re Looking For

• Availability to work on call across Sunday to Thursday, 6:00am to 2:30pm.
• A dependable team player who helps keep themselves, others, and the site safe.
• Physical strength and stamina for a demanding role, including the ability to lift up to 25 kg.
• Strong attention to detail and solid geographical knowledge.
• A forklift licence, or willingness to complete the training required to obtain one.
