Overview
A well-established employer in South Bend, Indiana is hiring a Payroll Specialist to handle weekly and biweekly payroll for a varied employee base. The position calls for high accuracy, discretion, and a strong service mindset.
Role Responsibilities
- Run payroll cycles for both hourly and salaried staff.
- Check and confirm time records, overtime, PTO, and shift premium payments.
- Keep employee payroll files and tax-related documents up to date.
- Support adherence to applicable state and federal payroll rules.
- Answer employee questions related to payroll.
- Help with annual W-2 preparation, audits, and payroll reporting.
- Work with the HR team on new hire setup and payroll updates.
Requirements
- At least 2 to 4 years of payroll-related experience.
- Working knowledge of payroll legislation and multi-state compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, or comparable payroll software.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $48,000 to $60,000.
