About the Role
Moore Ireland is looking to add a Payroll Specialist to its team in Dún Laoghaire. This role supports accurate, on-time payroll delivery and is suited to someone who can handle Irish payroll processing with care, discretion, and strong attention to detail. The position offers solid scope for career growth and is based in the company’s Dún Laoghaire office.
What You’ll Do
- Run weekly and monthly payroll cycles accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Process payroll for both salaried staff and hourly paid employees.
- Work in line with Irish payroll law, Revenue rules, and internal company policies.
- File Revenue Payroll Notifications (RPNs) and payroll data through Revenue Online Service (ROS).
- Handle Enhanced Reporting Requirements (ERR) submissions to Revenue.
- Support auto-enrolment pension administration and related deductions.
- Calculate and process statutory leave and payments, including sick pay, maternity, paternity, and parental leave.
- Keep payroll records and employee information accurate and up to date.
- Review and reconcile payroll reports, PAYE, PRSI, USC, pension deductions, and other payroll-related items.
- Prepare payroll journals and reporting for finance and management.
- Respond to employee payroll questions professionally and confidentially.
- Maintain compliance with GDPR and internal confidentiality standards.
- Support payroll audits and year-end payroll tasks.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, Revenue, pension providers, and external auditors when needed.
- Help improve payroll procedures and internal controls.
- Use Sage Quantum and Thesaurus software for payroll processing and reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- A payroll qualification such as IPASS or an equivalent credential.
- Prior experience handling payroll in Ireland.
- Working knowledge of PAYE, PRSI, USC, and Irish payroll legislation.
- Experience dealing with Revenue submissions and ROS.
- Understanding of Enhanced Reporting Requirements (ERR).
- Hands-on experience with Sage Quantum and Thesaurus payroll systems.
- Exposure to both weekly and monthly payroll processing.
- Strong accuracy and a careful approach to detail.
- Good organisation and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
