Role Overview

This opportunity is ideal for a payroll professional with experience in the automotive sector. The position is based on site in Campbelltown, New South Wales, and will play an important part in a business-wide transition from Unipay to Employment Hero’s integrated HR and payroll platform. The successful person will help ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time while supporting improvements to workforce systems.

Key Duties

• Handle end-to-end payroll processing for several entities within a multi-site operation using Unipay, with the system moving to Employment Hero.
• Support compliance with awards, superannuation, and Fair Work requirements alongside the People and Culture team.
• Check and reconcile payroll reports, Single Touch Payroll submissions, leave balances, and employee records.
• Partner with People & Culture to assist with onboarding, terminations, and audit activities.
• Respond to payroll questions promptly, professionally, and with confidentiality.
• Contribute to the implementation, testing, and improvement of the new payroll system.

What You Should Bring

The role calls for solid payroll experience in a multi-site, award-driven environment. Experience in automotive is considered highly advantageous. Familiarity with Unipay is required, and experience with a cloud-based HRIS such as Employment Hero would be an asset. You should also have a strong grasp of NES, payroll tax, STP, and superannuation compliance, along with excellent attention to detail, discretion, and a practical problem-solving approach. Confidence working through change and supporting system updates is important.
