About the Company
Mansa Resources is an expanding mining business with gold operations in West Africa. After successfully running a mine in Guinea, the group is now building a new gold mining project in Liberia.
This development is an important strategic step for the company and calls for a capable, responsive, and business-focused local team. Payroll, HR, and administrative support are central to keeping operations efficient, compliant, and well organized.
Role Summary
The Payroll & Administration Coordinator will manage payroll activities with accuracy and timeliness while also supporting HR and Finance with day-to-day administrative work. The role is practical and operational in nature, with responsibility for adherence to company policies, labor legislation, and mining-industry standards. It supports both site-based and office personnel and helps maintain effective workforce administration.
Key Objectives
- Deliver accurate and punctual payroll processing for employees and contractors.
- Maintain payroll and administration processes that are structured, compliant, and reliable.
- Assist with workforce administration, onboarding, and employee record management.
- Help ensure smooth coordination among HR, Finance, and site operations.
Candidate Profile
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in payroll, administration, or finance support. Experience in mining, construction, or other project-based environments is an advantage. Prior exposure to African operations or remote/site-based settings is desirable.
Skills: Strong payroll knowledge, good understanding of statutory compliance, careful attention to detail, sound HR and administrative process knowledge, discretion with confidential information, strong organizational and coordination ability, and comfort working in a fast-moving operational environment. Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office is required.
Language: Fluent English is required.
Working Conditions
The role is mainly based in Monrovia, with frequent travel to the Dugbe mine site. It involves regular interaction with operational teams and local stakeholders.
