About the Role
At SINC, you will help operate next-generation GovTech solutions designed to make everyday life easier for millions of people. The mission behind the work is to support a state that is ready for the 21st century, because resilient public institutions are a foundation of democracy.
Within the internal IT team, you will be responsible for keeping a production-critical platform running reliably. The environment is modern and centered around Kubernetes, on-premises infrastructure, and automation. Your contribution will directly affect the stability and availability of core IT systems, and you will play a key role in maintaining quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Your main focus will be operating and safeguarding the platform rather than building new features.
- Ensure reliable operation of the Kubernetes platform, including OpenShift and OKD, in an on-premises setup.
- Keep the clusters available, stable, and performant through ongoing administration and optimization.
- Take ownership of high availability, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and logging solutions.
- Investigate and resolve incidents related to clusters, networking, and storage.
- Plan capacity and improve system performance where needed.
- Run and evolve storage services such as Ceph, networking components like ingress, routes, and load balancers, and authentication systems such as Keycloak and Active Directory.
- Automate operational tasks with infrastructure-as-code methods and scripting.
- Serve as the main contact for the operation of the container-based core infrastructure.
Requirements
- You have completed a degree or vocational training in an IT-related field and bring several years of hands-on experience running Kubernetes clusters.
- You have solid practical experience with OpenShift and/or OKD.
- You are confident working with Linux and infrastructure technologies.
- You have experience with monitoring, logging, and incident management tools.
- You understand what it takes to support highly available, production-critical systems.
- You work in a structured and solution-oriented way and stay calm and organized in critical situations.
Environment and Tools
- Operating systems: Windows Server, Ubuntu, Open Suse, Fedora CoreOS
- Container platforms: Kubernetes, OpenShift / OKD
- Storage: Ceph
- Monitoring and logging: Prometheus, Grafana
- Authentication: Keycloak, Active Directory
- Scripting: PowerShell, Bash

Benefits
- Flexible working hours help you balance professional and private life.
- Up to 60% of the work can be done from home.
- The company contributes €338 per month to your occupational pension scheme.
- You can enjoy meals from the in-house chef in Wiesbaden or use the meal subsidy.
- Regular training and professional development are part of the package, with plenty of opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues every day.
- A company bike makes commuting easier.
- Team events and celebrations include wine festivals, Christmas parties, summer events with family members, and activities such as bouldering, barbecue evenings, and trampoline park visits.
