Qualifications
A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, is required.
Experience
Candidates should have at least 4 years of in-service inspection experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or closely related industries.
Technical and Business Skills
The role calls for strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, along with good computer literacy and confidence using MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with inspection software, technical specifications, and data management tools such as Meridium or similar platforms is expected. Knowledge of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) approaches, corrosion and corrosion control, damage mechanisms, and basic plant processes and materials is important. The candidate should also be familiar with common inspection methods, relevant international codes and standards, and hold API 510 and/or API 570 certification. API 653 certification is considered an added advantage.
Inspection Methods
The expected inspection techniques include Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and other advanced NDT methods.
