About the role
Glencore is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to join the Planning & Reliability team at Clermont Open Cut in Clermont, Queensland. The operation sits on the western side of the Bowen Basin and is a high-output truck and shovel coal mine producing around 12 million tonnes each year. The workplace is described as safe, inclusive, and focused on strong performance. This position reports to the Planning & Reliability Superintendent and is suited to someone who can bring initiative, variety, and practical problem-solving to the team.

What you'll be doing
- Create, update, and manage clear maintenance plans and work deliverables so the execution team can carry them out effectively.
- Plan and schedule heavy mobile plant maintenance work, including arranging labour support where needed.
- Make sure maintenance plans align with equipment availability targets.
- Keep work execution within the monthly budget framework.
- Oversee the mobile maintenance budget and forecasting process to support cost control across the maintenance function.
- Encourage new ideas and practical improvements that support better operational results.
- Improve the performance, safety, and productivity of plant and equipment through process enhancements.
- Work closely with maintenance staff and other stakeholders in a hands-on way to coordinate maintenance workloads.
What we're looking for
- A mechanical or electrical trade qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance planning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Substantial experience using computerised maintenance management systems, particularly SAP.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Project.
- A valid Queensland driver licence.
- A safety-first mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing practices, drive continuous improvement, and apply best-practice methods through a practical, hands-on approach.
