Lightning Protection Technician - Munster

About the Role

LPI Group is hiring Lightning Protection Technicians to contribute to international project delivery. In this position, you will report to the project manager and site supervisor and help manage the day-to-day planning, coordination, and control of LPI projects. The main focus of the role is the installation of lightning protection and earthing systems across a wide range of structures serving private, public, industrial, commercial, and data centre environments.

This is a hands-on opportunity to play an important part in the company’s ongoing growth and project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit lightning protection and earthing systems on data centres and various tall structures, following prepared project schemes, drawings, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Carry out modifications and upgrades to existing lightning protection installations based on the instructions provided.
• Complete all required company documentation accurately, including point-of-work risk assessments, job sheets, annotated drawings, material schedules, and timesheets, and submit them to the office team.
• Communicate professionally with clients and project managers on site, representing the company in a positive and competent manner.
• Work in line with health, safety, and environmental requirements at all times, ensuring tasks are delivered safely and in compliance with standards.

Required Experience and Skills

• Previous work experience in construction or a similar practical environment is needed.
• Experience on commercial and industrial projects is important.
• Electrical experience is helpful, though it is not mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving ability, along with solid communication and collaboration skills, is required.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices and familiarity with EQHS management systems is expected.
• English fluency is required; additional language ability in German, Dutch, French, or Spanish is beneficial but optional.
• Mandatory site and safety certifications include Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at Height, and IPAF training.
