About the role

Photech Environmental Services Inc., a Triumvirate Environmental company, is hiring a Labpack Labourer for its Niagara Falls, Ontario site. The team provides hazardous waste disposal support to industrial, research, and institutional clients across Ontario. In this role, hazardous chemical materials are sorted, packed, removed from generator sites, and brought to the Niagara Falls transfer and processing facility. The position supports lab pack processing work, where compatible waste is manually broken down and consolidated for bulk handling.

What you will do

  • Unload, sort, and consolidate compatible packaged hazardous chemical waste as part of a processing and production workflow.
  • Handle containers such as bottles, pails, 205 L drums, and 1000 L totes through loading, stacking, pumping, lifting, and other bulk-handling activities using the required procedures and equipment.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly through routine sweeping, washing, sanitizing, and general tidying.
  • Support occasional lift truck operation when needed.
  • Use company-issued protective gear, including coveralls, a Tyvek apron, CSA-approved safety boots, a hard hat, a full-face respirator, and task-specific gloves.
  • Be available for occasional weekend overtime during the May to October period, either in the production area or supporting a mobile household hazardous waste collection event as part of a field crew.

Requirements

  • Willingness to build working knowledge of WHMIS, Triumvirate health and safety practices, and TDG regulations.
  • Ability to learn and apply basic day-to-day operational procedures.

Schedule and pay

The regular shift runs Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime. The pay rate starts at $22.00 per hour, with a published pay range of CAD 22 to CAD 22.
