Role overview

As a Kitchen Porter, you help keep the back-of-house running smoothly by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working with others, and making sure the kitchen is always ready for service. Prior experience is not required, as full training will be provided.

Key duties

• Clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment thoroughly and without delay.
• Maintain clean floors, work surfaces, and waste bins using the required routines.
• Keep all kitchen zones, including storage and preparation areas, in excellent condition.
• Support the kitchen team with basic tasks such as unloading deliveries and arranging stock.
• Return kitchen tools and equipment to the correct places to help keep workflow efficient.
• Work in line with hygiene and food safety standards, including HACCP.
• Use cleaning products and equipment carefully and responsibly.
• Identify concerns or potential hazards and report them immediately.

What you need

• No previous experience is necessary; training will be provided.
• Experience in cleaning or a support-focused role is an added advantage.
• Ability to stay comfortable and productive in a busy, physical, on-your-feet environment.
• A cooperative, positive, and adaptable approach to teamwork.
• Good attention to detail and pride in keeping things clean.
• Dependability and a strong work ethic behind the scenes.
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to follow instructions and ask questions when needed.
