About the role
MECCA is looking for a Junior Product Development Specialist to help shape beauty products that resonate with its community. In this role, you will support the creation of new products across the MECCA-MAGINATIONS brand portfolio, contributing from the earliest concept discussions all the way through to launch.
You will work closely with the Product Development team in a hands-on position that involves coordinating samples, keeping projects on schedule, assisting with artwork and regulatory workflows, and helping deliver products that meet quality, brand and commercial expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the full lifecycle of new product development projects across owned brands.
- Track and organise samples, supporting documents, artwork sign-off, testing activities and supplier communication.
- Handle operational tasks such as purchase orders, sample movement, shipment coordination, timeline management and project tracking.
- Partner with teams across Compliance, Supply, Brand, Quality, Design and Marketing to help move products into market.
- Investigate market trends, review competitor offerings and contribute ideas for future product innovation.
What you will bring
This position is well suited to someone who enjoys structure, problem-solving and beauty product innovation. Success in the role will be supported by strong organisation, attention to detail and confidence working across technical product information.
Prior experience in product development or a closely related role is preferred, especially within beauty, cosmetics or FMCG. You should also be comfortable managing several priorities at once, communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders, and building productive working relationships. Experience in cosmetic formulation, packaging or regulatory requirements will be an advantage.
Benefits and perks
- Access to professional development programs and high-quality digital learning resources.
- Health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Reward and recognition initiatives.
- Eligibility for bonus and incentive programs.
- Quarterly product allowance.
- Generous team member discount for you and your immediate family, subject to company policy.
Life at MECCA
