Junior Data Analyst

Role overview

We are looking for an entry-level Junior Data Analyst to help with data gathering, reporting, and business intelligence work. This position suits recent graduates or early-career candidates who enjoy working with data, turning it into insights, and supporting informed decisions across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Gather information from different sources, then clean, verify, and structure it for analysis.
• Review datasets to spot trends, patterns, and practical takeaways.
• Create reports, dashboards, and charts for internal stakeholders.
• Help build and maintain reporting and business intelligence tools.
• Track KPIs and operational measures.
• Check data for accuracy and maintain data quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with teams across the company to understand reporting and analytics needs.
• Support one-off data requests and business analysis tasks.
• Keep records of data handling steps, reporting methods, and findings.
• Look for opportunities to improve processes using data-driven insights.
• Continue learning and applying strong practices in analytics, reporting, and BI.

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of data analysis, statistics, and reporting.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and analytical functions.
• SQL knowledge for extracting and querying data is an advantage.
• Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio is helpful.
• Basic understanding of databases and how data is organized.
• Good analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Comfort working on several tasks at once and collaborating with a team.
• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related area is preferred.
