Role overview
This position is based in Qatar within the Design / Engineering department. The role supports the creation and coordination of architectural solutions through every project stage, with a focus on accuracy, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery of design deliverables aligned to project needs and local requirements.
Design development
- Contribute to architectural design work from the initial concept phase through detailed design.
- Develop drawings, layouts, and 3D models according to project specifications.
- Assist with selecting materials and refining design details.
Drawings and documentation
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Check that all drawings are precise, coordinated, and compliant with project standards.
- Keep drawing files and documentation properly organized and updated.
Coordination
- Work with structural, MEP, and other discipline teams to support an integrated design.
- Help identify and resolve design conflicts and technical issues.
- Communicate with consultants and contractors to clarify design intent.
Compliance and approvals
- Ensure design output follows Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and applicable local authority rules.
- Assist with preparing documents required for authority submissions and approvals.
Construction support
- Review shop drawings and material submittals.
- Support responses to RFIs during project execution.
- Carry out site visits to confirm that the design is being implemented correctly.
Requirements
The role is intended for an architect with 6–8 years of relevant experience, ideally gained on construction projects and in collaboration with consultants or contractors. A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required. UPDA/MMUP certification is preferred. Strong capability in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools is needed, along with solid knowledge of architectural detailing, construction methods, Qatar regulations, and local authority procedures.
