IT Support Engineer

Role overview

Korn Ferry is assisting a client with a short-term IT support assignment in County Galway. The position is fully onsite and is intended for candidates who can begin right away or with very little notice. The assignment is expected to run for 3 to 4 months.

What you will do

• Deliver onsite IT assistance across the service desk and wider IT operations setting.
• Set up, configure, and resolve issues with end-user computers and mobile devices.
• Support desktop environments running on Windows.
• Install and maintain printers as needed.
• Reinstall Windows operating systems when required.
• Handle basic networking faults related to LAN, VLAN, WAN, IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Work alongside the internal IT team to help maintain agreed desktop service levels.

What the employer is looking for

• Previous experience in IT support, desktop support, deskside support, service desk support, or field support.
• A solid working understanding of Windows-based environments.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts including IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Confidence working with hardware setup, troubleshooting, and onsite user support.
• Good communication skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.
• An IT qualification is preferred.
• Availability to work fully onsite in Galway.

Contract details

This is a short-term engagement lasting 3 to 4 months. The role is fully onsite in Galway, County Galway, Ireland, and is best suited to someone who is immediately available or able to start at short notice.
