About the Role
Humdinger Ltd in Heckington is hiring a Hygiene Operative to support a clean, safe, and well-kept food manufacturing environment. The role focuses on keeping communal spaces, welfare facilities, and production areas hygienic, compliant, and ready for use.
Job Details
This is a permanent, full-time position based onsite in Ruskington, England, United Kingdom. The shift pattern is 3 days on and 4 days off, rotating across Monday to Saturday, with either Monday to Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday covered. Shifts are 12 hours long, from 06:00 to 18:00.
The pay rate is £13.29 per hour. The closing date is 10/07/2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep shared areas such as canteens, toilets, changing rooms, and office spaces clean and presentable.
- Perform cleaning tasks in production zones, including floors, walls, tables, and work surfaces.
- Remove waste and refill hygiene supplies like soap and paper towels.
- Maintain accurate cleaning logs and follow site procedures when recording work completed.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to training and site rules.
- Work to GMP, hygiene, and food safety standards throughout the site.
- Spot and escalate hygiene, safety, or environmental issues when identified.
Requirements
- Prior cleaning experience in a workplace setting, or food manufacturing experience even without previous cleaning experience.
- A strong eye for detail and consistently high personal standards.
- Confidence working alone as well as collaboratively with others.
- A dependable record for attendance and punctuality.
- Clear communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Background in a food manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of food safety and GMP practices.
- Experience handling cleaning chemicals.
- Food Safety Level 2 certification.
