Role overview
We are looking for a service-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to support day-to-day room and public-area upkeep in a hotel environment. The role calls for someone who enjoys helping guests, pays close attention to cleanliness standards, and can deliver consistently high service while following hotel procedures.
Key duties
- Collect the assigned task sheet, room keys, and cleaning materials from the supervisor, and record key issuance correctly in the logbook.
- Clean guest rooms and bathrooms by carrying out the required housekeeping tasks.
- Ensure fire exits and staircases remain free from blockages at all times.
- Report maintenance issues as soon as they are noticed.
- Remove litter from corridors and walkways.
- Vacuum carpets and upholstered items, dust and wipe furniture, and clear ashtrays and waste bins.
- Prepare beds and clean sinks, bathtubs, toilets, tiles, mirrors, and floors; also polish brass and metal fixtures.
- Refill bathroom amenities and guest room supplies.
- Neatly arrange guest toiletries on the vanity and clean carpet spots whenever needed.
- Keep corridors, service pantries, and other service spaces clean and orderly throughout the shift.
- Clear room service trays and trolleys from guest rooms and corridors.
- Coordinate with valet services for guest laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing requests.
Education and experience
A vocational background in hotel housekeeping is preferred. Good English communication skills are an advantage.
