Overview
Vista Group is seeking a strong technical accountant to join its finance function. The role focuses on producing accurate and timely reporting so the group can meet its legal, statutory, and compliance obligations.
The wider group includes 9 operating companies across 6 countries. Core services such as accounting, billing, debtor management, payables, payroll, legal, and people operations are run from the New Zealand head office. The NZ finance team also handles monthly reporting, banking, treasury, and tax matters for the full group.
Role summary
This position is technical in nature and covers accounting for one operating subsidiary, management reporting, support with interim and year-end statutory reporting, financial administration, treasury and cash management assistance, and transfer pricing calculations.
You will also help drive process improvement by leading projects and working closely with other finance team members to deliver successful outcomes.
Requirements
- CA qualification from NZICA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a CA practice or commercial finance environment.
- Previous exposure to NZX and IFRS reporting obligations.
- Experience preparing both statutory accounts and monthly management accounts for a multinational group structure.
- Solid experience with consolidations.
- Hands-on experience using Navision or a comparable group ERP platform.
- Strong advanced Excel capability.
- Experience handling foreign currency transactions and currency translation.
- Background in systems enhancement, including the design and rollout of new systems.
