Graduate Analyst, Strategy & Analytics

Overview

AlphaSights is hiring a Graduate Analyst for its Strategy & Analytics team in London, with an immediate start. In this role, you will help senior leaders make stronger decisions by turning data into practical business insight. The position supports organization-wide strategic work by measuring performance, shaping decisions with analysis, and contributing to the company’s growth plans. You will work with teams across functions and regions to support strategic projects and help improve the commercial and operating model.

This opportunity is suited to motivated, hardworking candidates who want to build a transferable toolkit in strategy and analytics and learn from colleagues with experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, and data analytics.

What you will do

• Pull data from internal systems, run quantitative analysis, and translate findings into useful insights.
• Communicate findings to senior leaders across the business to support important decisions.
• Own strategic initiatives within your area, from early ideas through implementation, and track the business impact they create.
• Manage core processes that help the company operate effectively, including market benchmarking, budgeting, and talent analytics.

Candidate profile

• This is an entry-level position, and previous full-time work experience is not required. Internships or other exposure to data-focused work in a business setting would be a plus.
• You should have strong analytical and numerical ability, enjoy working with data, and be comfortable handling technical challenges. A 2:1 degree or above in a quantitative subject such as Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or Finance is expected.
• You need to be comfortable solving complex, open-ended problems.
• You should be highly proactive, well organised, able to juggle priorities, and able to work to demanding deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• You should care about creating measurable business impact and helping leaders make better decisions through data.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills are important, along with the ability to explain ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences and respond constructively to feedback.
• You must work carefully, maintain high standards, and show strong attention to detail.

Technical requirements

• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL would be beneficial.
• Applicants must complete and pass a quantitative assessment before their application can move forward.
