Role Overview
Aramark Remote Workplace Services is recruiting a General Kitchen Helper for a remote lodge close to White River, Ontario. This position focuses on keeping kitchen and dish areas clean, organized, and fully stocked, while also supporting other practical tasks as needed.
Core Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and maintain dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, utensils, and other kitchen equipment to support a high standard of guest service.
- Keep the dishwashing area, including the three-compartment sink and nearby spaces, clean and orderly.
- Check equipment regularly to ensure it remains clean and functioning properly, and escalate any problems to management.
- Carry out light custodial and maintenance-related tasks as assigned.
- Deliver friendly, professional service and maintain a positive approach when dealing with guests, clients, coworkers, and other team members.
- Follow company safety rules and food-handling sanitation practices at all times.
- Protect company property and ensure assets remain secure.
Working Arrangement
This role follows a rotation of two weeks on duty and two weeks off. Transportation is arranged from Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must be prepared to complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as well as a criminal background check before hire. The position may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking. Uniforms and personal protective equipment may also be required.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of sanitation practices is required.
- Ability to work safely around hazardous cleaning chemicals is essential.
- Must be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
