Floor Technician / Housekeeper

Role overview

Vibra Healthcare is hiring a full-time day shift Housekeeper / Floor Technician to support its Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania facility. The site, VibraLife, is a modern one-level rehabilitation and senior living community that combines short-term rehab, skilled nursing, and assisted living services. The position plays an important part in keeping the environment clean, safe, sanitary, and aligned with infection control standards.

What you will do

You will handle a range of cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain the facility to established standards. This includes caring for floors and furniture with appropriate cleaning tools and chemicals while ensuring the space meets safety, cleanliness, and infection-prevention requirements.

VibraLife is designed to meet the care and living needs of individuals recovering from injury or illness. The community brings together Vibra Rehabilitation Center and Vibra Senior Living in a single, integrated care setting for both patients and residents.

Required background and capabilities

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. If you do not have the education requirement, two years of housekeeping experience may be considered instead. You should be able to communicate clearly with hospital staff, understand spoken and written directions, and write responses when needed.

Preferred qualifications include at least one year of housekeeping experience, with healthcare housekeeping experience being especially helpful. Candidates should present a professional image, understand regulatory and compliance standards, stay organized, prioritize well, and use sound judgment when making decisions. Basic familiarity with computers and software used in the role is also needed. Applicants must be free from illegal drug or alcohol use and its effects while at work.
