About the Role
Wynfield Park Health & Rehab in Albany, Georgia is hiring a Floor Technician for a full-time day shift position. This role is part of a nonprofit, mission-driven care environment where employees are supported by leadership and encouraged to grow while helping provide high-quality service to patients and residents.
What You’ll Do
You will help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients by handling routine floor care and housekeeping support. The work includes scheduled cleaning tasks, equipment upkeep, and reporting maintenance concerns as they arise.
- Carry out floor-care tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing according to the supervisor’s schedule.
- Clean and properly put away equipment at the end of each shift.
- Notify the supervisor about repairs that may be needed.
- Follow waste-disposal procedures as directed.
- Support the correct use and upkeep of housekeeping equipment.
- Represent the organization positively through respectful communication and a service-oriented attitude.
- Take part in committees, workgroups, project efforts, and other collaborative activities when needed.
- Handle additional duties as required to support the success of the system.
Skills and Work Style
The ideal candidate communicates politely and clearly with coworkers, patients, family members, and visitors. A helpful, caring, and professional approach is important, along with the ability to answer questions and address concerns appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Work Expectations
There are no supervisory duties for this role.
English-language ability should include reading and understanding safety instructions, operating guides, maintenance procedures, and related documents, as well as writing basic reports and correspondence and speaking effectively with groups of customers or staff.
Basic math ability is expected, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning ability should include applying common sense to written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and handling routine problems in standardized situations with multiple variables.
Computer skills required for this position include Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Physical Requirements
This job involves sitting, talking, hearing, walking, using hands and arms to handle or reach, and occasional standing. Close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus are also needed. Reasonable accommodations may be available for individuals with disabilities.
