Finance Executive

Role overview

St. Mary’s Rehabilitation University in Hyderabad is hiring a Finance Executive / Assistant Finance Manager to support its finance function on a permanent, on-site basis. This role is centered on maintaining smooth day-to-day accounting work, producing reports for leadership, managing reconciliations and records, and helping with compliance and audit-related tasks.

The position works closely with the Finance Manager, university leadership, and the CEO. The selected candidate will contribute to accurate financial operations, assist with analysis and reporting, and support broader finance administration across the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Handle routine accounting and finance activities for the university.
• Prepare MIS statements, financial summaries, and other internal reports for review by leadership.
• Support financial analysis by organizing data and sharing insights that help with decision-making.
• Carry out account reconciliations and keep financial records accurate and up to date.
• Assist with invoice handling, payment processing, and vendor follow-ups.
• Support budgeting work, expense monitoring, and maintenance of finance documentation.
• Track and file records for receipts, transactions, and payments.
• Help with audit preparation and ensure supporting documents are properly maintained.
• Coordinate with internal teams for finance-related requirements and information.
• Work with the Finance Manager and CEO on assigned finance tasks and operational support.

Work structure

This is a work-from-office role based in Hyderabad. The position reports directly to the CEO and functions in close coordination with the Finance Manager and the university administration team.

Candidate profile

The university is looking for someone detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a structured institutional finance environment. Applicants should already have hands-on experience in finance or accounting work, along with a practical understanding of accounting processes and Excel-based reporting.

Other requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in finance or accounting-related work is required.
• Good grasp of accounting principles and financial processes is expected.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and basic financial tools is necessary.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are important.
• Good communication and coordination skills are needed.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Candidates with strong academic records from reputed colleges are preferred.
• Prior exposure to accounting, finance operations, or administrative work will be an advantage.
