Facilities Technician (Tues-Sat/Day Shift)

Role Overview

The Facilities Technician will support the smooth operation of industrial equipment across the Distribution Center and help maintain the facility in safe, functional condition.

Work Schedule and Pay

This is a Tuesday through Saturday day-shift position with working hours from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. The hourly pay range is $24 to $26.

Key Duties

• Support distribution center and commercial building maintenance tasks.
• Carry out roof-related checks such as roof drains, exhaust fans, air-conditioning units, and roof membrane condition.
• Assist with landscaping, plumbing, painting, carpentry, lighting, drywall work, and concrete repairs or coatings.
• Work on high-bay racking systems, roll-up doors, and janitorial supply needs to maintain strong housekeeping standards.
• Monitor building safety and help ensure a safe environment for all personnel.
• Spot facility issues early and identify areas that may develop into problems.
• Use shop tools and contribute hands-on to maintenance work.

Additional Technical and Workplace Expectations

• Operate in line with OSHA requirements and help keep the department compliant.
• Hold CAL OSHA certification for Reach and/or Order Picker/Walker Rider equipment, or similar equipment.
• Understand company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety.
• Communicate regularly with upper management and follow instructions from the Maintenance Manager.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to accept feedback.
• Complete housekeeping tasks when needed and support special projects or other requests from the supervisor.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a courteous, professional attitude.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The role requires 4 to 5+ years of maintenance experience, and familiarity with scanners as well as print-and-apply machines is considered an advantage.
