Role overview
This position is responsible for overseeing the daily upkeep of production equipment, buildings, utilities, and site infrastructure across AIC plants. The role also manages the accuracy of the fixed asset base so that equipment remains operational, facilities stay safe and functional, and asset records stay up to date.
Production equipment maintenance
- Direct routine preventive and corrective maintenance for production machines and lines at the assigned plants.
- Coordinate maintenance technicians and plant support teams to carry out planned work and respond to breakdowns.
- Review finished repair work and require rework whenever the output does not meet safety or quality expectations.
Facilities and infrastructure upkeep
- Oversee the maintenance of buildings, utilities, HVAC, power systems, and safety-related infrastructure across the assigned sites.
- Allocate and track facility maintenance work orders according to the planned schedule.
- Confirm that facility work has been completed and escalate any gaps or defects to the Manager.
Fixed asset control
- Keep the fixed asset register current by documenting new additions, transfers, and disposals as they occur.
- Carry out periodic physical asset counts, apply asset tags, and prepare variance reports for managerial review.
- Prepare supporting documents for asset transfers and disposals for approval.
Maintenance planning and work orders
- Set up and monitor preventive maintenance plans in the CMMS for both equipment and facilities.
- Create, record, and follow up on work orders, and escalate repeat issues or overdue tasks to the Manager.
- Maintain detailed maintenance history for each asset and location.
Spare parts and vendor coordination
- Track maintenance spare-parts inventory and raise replenishment requests before stock reaches the minimum level.
- Coordinate with maintenance contractors and OEM technicians onsite, and confirm that the work delivered matches the agreed scope.
- Check vendor service reports and timesheets before they are sent for payment approval.
Policies, people, and continuous improvement
- Apply approved departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions, and ensure the team follows them consistently.
- Lead, support, coach, and mentor direct reports in carrying out their daily responsibilities.
- Encourage motivation, team commitment, and participation during change or uncertainty.
- Set priorities, delegate tasks clearly, and monitor workflow to keep work on track.
- Create opportunities for team members to contribute ideas, share knowledge, and participate in improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the team works in line with company values, systems, policies, and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, cost efficiency, productivity, and working methods by applying good industry practice.

- Follow all applicable safety, quality, and environmental rules, procedures, and controls to help maintain a healthy and safe workplace.
