Role overview
Carnegie Consulting is recruiting an Executive Assistant for a well-regarded hedge fund based in the Upper East Side, Manhattan. The position supports a busy investment team and also helps keep the New York office running efficiently. It is an excellent fit for an experienced EA who wants to grow in a fast-paced investment setting.
The New York office has a close team of about 8 people. You will partner with a senior Office Manager/EA who has been with the firm since the office first opened. The environment is collaborative, lean, and values humility, accountability, and a strong team-first attitude.
What the role involves
This is a practical, hands-on position. In addition to providing high-level executive support, you may also step in with general office support when needed, such as coordinating meetings and events, answering calls, preparing tea or coffee, helping colleagues, and making sure the office operates smoothly each day.
Required background
The ideal candidate is degree educated and has prior Executive Assistant experience in a hedge fund, private equity, asset management, investment management, or family office environment. Strong precision, discretion, and the ability to manage complex calendars and international travel arrangements are essential. The role also calls for a polished, professional, articulate communicator who works well in a small, high-performing team.
Availability
Immediate joining is preferred, and a short notice period would be a strong advantage.
Package
The compensation for this position is $135,000 to $160,000 annually, plus bonus and benefits. The role follows a 4-day office and 1-day work-from-home arrangement.
