Role Summary
This position is a hybrid Environmental Compliance Data Analyst role. The job involves gathering, checking, and interpreting environmental and operational information from monitoring tools and internal systems. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, works carefully with numbers and dates, and can keep datasets accurate, compliant, and ready for audit review.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare air emissions and compliance reports that align with EPA Title V permit requirements.
- Review technical data issues and explain anomalies in clear, professional writing suitable for regulatory review.
- Develop and support data models, organized file structures, and dashboards for ongoing and one-time compliance submissions.
- Work closely with engineering, testing, and project management teams to convert technical information into practical insights.
Qualifications
- Comfort using databases, file management tools, FTP, cloud-based storage, folder systems, and large datasets to spot patterns and irregularities.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Ability to think critically, investigate suspicious data, and determine lawful ways to correct issues.
- Sharp attention to detail, especially with figures and dates, since small errors can affect compliance.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- No advanced programming background is necessary.
- Experience with environmental regulations or CEMS/DAHS software is a strong advantage, and training can be provided to the right candidate.
